Luke David Joslyn

My cute little nephew is here! I am going out in a couple of weeks when my mom leaves to help Whit and see Luke. Here are a couple of pictures that Will sent me today.....

Last Week!

So the first week of school was pretty busy for us. Life seems to be getting busier every day now. I am kind of over blogging at the moment. I just don't have time for it. Any free second I find myself reading "New Moon." I've got "Eclipse" just sitting on my dresser waiting to be read! These books are so great! Anyways, last week I took Ellie to Legoland with our neighbor Megen and her daughter Autumn. We were actually able to go on all the big rides that she always wants to go on but never can with Nicolas. So it was a fun day. Then Friday she had a "Teddy Bear Picnic" at school that Nicolas and I went to. But now between school, Nicolas' swim lessons, Matt's soccer, my soccer, and Ellie's soccer, our days and nights are very full! Life is great!

Here are the pictures from the picnic at school

Nicolas and Ellie have been so sweet to each other lately! On Sunday Ellie wanted to put Nicolas down for his nap. She wanted the door shut. I went to peek in on them and found her reading a book to him. It was so cute! I love it when they just do it on their own and I don't have to force them to be nice to each other or play together!
**The great news of this week is that my little sister, Whitney, had her baby yesterday afternoon! This is her second boy. They named him Luke David. As soon as I get some pictures I will post them. She is doing well and my mom says the baby is absolutely darling!

1st Day of Kindergarten!!

I can't believe the day has come. My little Ellie started Kindergarten today. I'd have to say that it was bittersweet for me. As excited as I was for her to start, it was a kind of hard for me to leave her there all by her little self! She doesn't know anyone in her class and she was a little nervous when Nicolas and I left. Poor Nicolas was so sad! He really wanted to go to school with her. He is really going to miss her!

Weekend Celebrations!!

We started out Friday night with a High School Musical 2 Birthday party for my mom! Ellie and her two cousins planned the party. It was a lot of fun. I'd have to say, I prefer the first one over the 2nd. I was a little disappointed. But at least Troy and Gabriella were together in the end! Saturday we had soccer in the morning and then went to the beach for a few hours. Matt and I celebrated our anniversary last night by going to dinner and to see Bourne Ultimatum. The movie was really good! Our anniversary is today - 7 years!! How time flies.....

Nap Time!!

So Ellie rarely naps anymore these days. But I told her if she took a nap today that she could stay up late to see Matt since he has church stuff to do tonight after work. She didn't want to go upstairs, she wanted to take a nap on the couch. While I was reading on the couch she managed to bring a kitchen chair in and lean it back with some pillows on it. It told her that she couldn't sleep there and that it was going to be way too uncomfortable. But being the stubborn 4 1/2 year old that she is, she was determined to make it work! Well before I knew it I had fallen asleep and woke up to the phone. I look over and this is what I found.........

Dinner at Mike and Lizzy's

We went up to Matt's brother, Mike's house last night for dinner. The kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline, making and performing a puppet show, and playing some music for us. Whey Grandma Staffieri is around the kids get entertained and the parents get to just sit around and relax on the couch! It is great!

Our Little "Bumble Bee"

Ellie had her first soccer game today! She did such a great job. She scored a couple of goals (even though we don't keep score). I was very proud of her. My friend, JoAnn and I are the coaches! We had to volunteer because they didn't have a coach. It is really going to be a test of my patience because I am so competitive that I have a hard time with the "flower picking" type. We definitely have a few of those! I am so glad that my little Ellie is not one of those. I don't know what I would do! I am hoping that Ellie will come to love soccer as much as I do. It was really fun for me to see her out there playing today.

This is Ellie's best friend and next door neighbor, Autumn. They are like sisters! They will both be starting Kindergarten a week from Monday!!

Bonds hits 755!

For all you baseball fans out there, I witnessed history last night! Yes, I was at the Padres game and watched Barry Bonds hit his 755th home run tying Hank Aaron's record. It was such a cool thing to see and I really feel lucky to have been able to be there. Matt passed up the opportunity and let Ellie and I go with my parents. We got just about every treat at the ballpark and felt sick when we left, but it was really fun to spend time with Ellie! Here is the play by play, for anyone interested.....

Laguna Beach

Today I went to Laguna and met up with some of my old friends that I haven't seen forever. We all have kids now and it was fun to get them together to play. Thanks Summer, for getting this all planned, we had a great time!!
