Ellie's Piano Recital and Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day yesterday! Matt and the kids made me breakfast in bed. It was fantastic! Matt got me a new camera which I have been wanting for a while now and I am so excited about it. After church we went up to Ashley's to celebrate Mother's Day and Janie's Birthday. It's always fun to be up there and the kids love playing together.

Last week Ellie had her first Piano Recital! She played a song on the piano and then a song that she wrote and composed on the Xylophone. She has only been taking lessons for about 7 months and she has really caught on and is doing so well.

The song Ellie wrote was all about her dad! She is such a daddy's girl! It was really cute.

Her biggest fan!!

The Philadelphia Eagles

Matt's brother, Markell, was invited Friday morning to get on a plane Friday afternoon to attend the Philadelphia Eagles mini camp! The camp lasted 3 days and when he got to the airport on Monday to fly home his agent called him and said that the Eagles had just faxed over a 3 year contract for him! Unfortunately nothing in the NFL is guaranteed. It is all performance based and he still has to make it through a few more cuts. But what a great accomplishment for him to have gotten the contract and know that they want him back. We are so excited for him and wish him the best these next couple of months!

Kindergarten Folk Dance Festival

Tonight Ellie had a Dance Festival at her school. They have been practicing for weeks for tonight's performance. They learned 6 songs and dances from different countries. It was really cute and Ellie did a great job!

At the end they had a "surprise dance" where the families came up and all participated in a Freeze Dance.
Nicolas was feeling a little left out because I kept taking pictures of Ellie. So he would make funny faces and tell me to take his picture too!

Update!!

So I finally decided to return to the blogging. My little sis just moved to Hong Kong for the next few years and so I am mainly doing it for her so that she can stay updated on what our family is doing. We found out we are having another boy and couldn't be more excited. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of months. I haven't taken too many pictures lately, so this is all I have for now.....

Good News and Bad News

Okay, the good news is that I am finally pregnant! We have been trying for quite a while and are so excited! I am 12 weeks today and am due on my 30th birthday, June 30th.

The bad news is that I think I am going to be done with blogging for a while. I just don't have the time. I will still try to keep up with all of yours, but for now I am going to be taking a little break from my own.

Hope everyone has very happy holidays!

Trip to Utah

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Our family went up to Utah and met all of the Green family and some of the Staffieri family. The kids loved the cold weather and the snow! Luckily there was no snow in Provo. We went up to Park City one day and there was some man-made snow that the kids got to play in. They went on the roller-coaster up on the mountain a couple of times also. The kids got to go horseback riding the first day we got there. Matt's good family friends have some horses that we were able to use. Then Saturday was the big football game! It was pretty boring until the end and then it was stressful just like the game last year against the U. Luckily we came out on top! Unfortunately, Markell wasn't able to play much because of his ankle. He could barely even walk on it after the game. It was the last home game for the seniors, so it was pretty sad. Hopefully he can be back for the bowl game. Here are some pictures from our trip (sorry there are so many!).........
