Update!

This update is going to be a little long. I guess I haven't posted for over a month. So here is what the Staffieri clan has been up to. First Matt took a much needed day off of work to take the family to SeaWorld. Ellie got to miss school and she thought that was the coolest thing!

Strike a pose!

Here is the waterfall drop on Atlantis. Nicolas was a little scared!

Nicolas was ticked that they got all wet!

I was in charge of my ward's Super Saturday. The family board and the Joy Blocks were the ones I made and was in charge of. It was a big production to put on but we had a great turn out and everyone loved the stuff they made!

Matt and I (and Davey) had the wonderful opportunity to go to San Francisco with Matt's work. We are so blessed to be a part of such a great company. We stayed in the Fairmont downtown and it was gorgeous! While the guys were in meetings they gave the wives gift certificates for the spa to get massages and a visa gift card for shopping! We had a fabulous trip!

The first night down at Fisherman's Wharf

A successful day of shopping! These girls know their way around San Fran. They were my fashion consultants! Thanks girls for updating my wardrobe! These three are wives of other Administrators that Matt works with. Next to me is Megan Bewsey, Kim Rodriguez, and Megan Brockbank. And you can't forget our little Davey in the stroller/bag carrier! He was a real trooper!

Our Cute roommate!!

The last night we had a really nice dinner and show

Ellie was a "Blue Angel" this year in soccer

Her best friend Halle was on the team. These two girls dominate! Each one of them would score at least 5 goals each if not more. It was so fun for me to see Ellie get so good this season. She really enjoys playing.

This was at the end of the year pizza party. She was so excited to get a trophy!

Nicolas as Pirate #1 going to school

We went to Matt's work party. Here is a patient giving Nicolas some candy

Ellie, Matt, and Nicolas in their costumes. This is Nicolas' second pirate costume. The one he wore to preschool was all ripped by the time he got home so we had to get him another one! This one held up a lot better.

Liza, Ruby, and Ellie all wanted to be matching witches this year for Halloween so we went up to trick-or-treat in their neighborhood

My mom stayed home with Davey and passed out candy

Saturday night we went to dinner with Matt's brother and his wife and her parents. We took Davey and Camden with us and put them on the end of our table. They were so cute in sitting together! Camden is now the same size Davey was when he was born (he was 6 weeks early and his due date was supposed to be today!) It is amazing how fast Davey has grown in 4 1/2 months!

My 3 month old!

I can't believe Davey is 3 months old already. He went in today for his 2 month check (we changed insurance and I couldn't get him in until now). He was 14 lbs even and in the 65%. I think Nicolas was 14 lbs at 2 months and 95%. I think Davey will get there. He just started out 11 days early and almost a pound lighter than Nicolas. Both are big solid boys and I love it!

I got him a Bumbo the other day and he is just about ready for it. He still is a little wobbly, but he looks so grown up in it!

He likes to relax on the couch!

This is Nicolas at 3 months. You can definitely tell they are brothers!

This is the entertainment center that Matt just finished. He did an amazing job! (The bottom opening is for some speaker thing. He has some great plan for a surround sound! Why does every guy need one?)

Antonio

[these pictures were taken in 2004 during our trip to Italy]

As some of you know, my dear friend Antonio Nitto passed away this last week at the young age of 43. A few friends in Italy asked if I had any recent photos that I might be able to send or post on this blog. I met Antonio on my church mission to southern Italy where he lived in the town of Siracusa. Although I met many wonderful people on my mission, Antonio always felt like a brother to me. In fact, when I returned from my mission I sent my CTR ring back to Antonio with the inscription "Fratello Eterno" or "Eternal Brother."

During my stay in Siracusa he would oftentimes take us out for pizza or gelato when we needed a little encouragement or were feeling homesick. My fondest memories of Antonio were how he treated his friends and how he cared for his mother. His dream was always to come to America and work... hoping someday to live here permanently. Unfortunately, this dream was never realized but Antonio continued his commitment to friends and family until his passing.

For the love he showed to Heavenly Father's children and servants in the mission field, I am faithful that Antonio and our elder brother Jesus Christ, have shared a warm embrace and that we will share our lives again with him soon.

Grandma Nielsen and Ellie's B-day Celebration

My Grandma turned 90 last week! We were lucky enough to be there to celebrate with her. Here are a few pictures from last Sunday....

The Birthday Girls!!

Ellie spent the night at the Hladek's the night before so they all wore the same dresses and same hair style. They made a big hit!

Eden (my cousin's girl) and Nicolas were singing for everyone before dinner. They were hilarious!

Nicolas goes to School!

My little boy started Preschool today! I can't believe it. He was so excited to go and had a blast. He came home and told me everyone's name and exactly what they did. He said his favorite part was eating the snack!

The other day he came to me and said, "Mom, I didn't get a backpack for school yet! We need to go buy one!" I didn't have the heart to tell him that he didn't need one for preschool, so we went out yesterday and he got to pick it out all by himself. That is why he has Spiderman instead of Quicksilver or something I would have chosen! He thinks it is really cool :)

He made himself right at home!
Saturday night we went to the Padres game with some of Matt's family
