Playgroup at the Pool

This is Nicolas's best friend, Millie. He calls her Mil Mil and she calls him Nicky. We are hoping for a future with them!!

Ready, Set, ................GO!!



Every week our ward playgroup meets at our pool for a swim day. My sister-in-law, Lizzy, came down with her kids and joined us yesterday. We had a full house and the kids had a blast!

Sunday Night BBQ

Tonight we had my family over for a BBQ. After dinner we went over to the park and had a nice casual game of wiffle ball with the kids. Growing up we used to play wiffle ball all the time with our cousins, so this was really fun to see our kids keeping the tradition alive!

Date Night at the Beach

Tonight we decided to get babysitters and go surfing with our neighbors Josh and Megen. We go to the beach every Monday night for FHE and at least once during the week. I realized that since the kids are always with us Matt gets to surf and I usually don't. So tonight was great! We got to be out in the water together which was really fun. I love living so close to the ocean and I really love having a husband that surfs!!

Every 4th of July we spend the week up in Newport Beach at the Marriott Villas with the Staffieri Family. My birthday usually falls on this week. All the adults went to dinner at Opah that night to celebrate. It was delicious!! We had a really fun week and the kids had a blast with all of their cousins.

4 Generations

While we were in Hawaii, my Grandpa Nielsen passed away. We were very fortunate to be able to see him the day before we left to say our "goodbyes." We got home just in time for the funeral. Although it was really hard to see my grandpa go, we had a really fun weekend together with all of our family and cousins.

Matt and I went to Hawaii in June. He took a new job and had a few weeks off in between so we decided to take a little vacation by ourselves. We went to the Big Island. We stayed in this amazing place with a huge deck and an ocean view. We realized we hadn't had a nice relaxing vacation like that since our honeymoon (almost 7 years ago!). So this trip was much needed. We had a great time!
